Undoubtedly, Inner City destinations such as South Bank and the CBD are by far the most popular areas for tourists. However, what if I tell you that there are other destinations – just 1km from the city – that offer much cheaper accommodation?

One such destination is Kangaroo Point – which is where you’ll find our holiday apartments, Bridgewater Terraces, apartments.

Now, you may not have heard of Kangaroo Point, so I understand if you have reservations about booking Kangaroo Point accommodation. But to ease your concerns, below is a list of FAQs about what you can expect from Kangaroo Point accommodation.

These FAQs specifically relate to our accommodation here at Bridgewater Terraces, but will give you an overall picture of accommodation in the area.

1. What should I know about check-in, payments, cancellation and other policies?

This is probably the most asked question that I face here at Bridgewater Terraces. Our standard check-in time is 2pm, while our standard check-out time is 10am. However, we also allow afterhours check-ins and late check-outs. Just make sure to place a request with us beforehand. If you’re planning an early check-out, make sure that your account has been settled prior to your departure.

Also, we will require a security bond upon your check-in. You can use your credit card for this. This security bond is not to be confused with a deposit. We accept full payment upon your arrival if you haven’t already pre-paid through a booking site.

Our pre-payment and cancellation policies vary depending on room types. You’ll need to check the specific policies of your required room before making pre-payment or a cancellation.

We allow children of all ages in our holiday apartments. Children up to the age of 2 years will be provided with a cot, while any other person will be provided with an extra bed. Charges for additional guests are $35 per person per stay. Do note that extra beds and cots are only provided upon request and need to be confirmed by our management. Also, our Kangaroo Point accommodation doesn’t allow pets.

2. How far from the city is my accommodation?

Distance from Bridgewater Terraces to the Story Bridge, which connects Kangaroo Point to the city.

We’re located in Kangaroo Point, which is a tranquil suburb of Brisbane along the Brisbane River. It is the riverside location, along with the close proximity to Brisbane CBD (1km away), that makes Kangaroo Point accommodation a popular choice with tourists.

3. Are there any attractions nearby Kangaroo Point?

Yes, there is no shortage of attractions near Kangaroo Point. First off, the Brisbane River, Story Bridge and Riverlife Adventure Club all lie less than 100m away from our accommodation. Kangaroo Point Cliffs also lie within close proximity.

There are also fantastic wine and dine options in and around Kangaroo Point. From cheap fast food to fine dining, you’ll find it all near your Kangaroo Point accommodation.

Brisbane CBD is also just one kilometre away from us. You’ll find several shopping malls, historic and modern buildings and several entertainment and nightlife options at the CBD.

Other nearby attractions within walking distance include South Bank (3km), Exhibition Centre (3.5km) and the GABBA Cricket Ground (2km).

4. Is transport accessible from my accommodation?

Transport is highly accessible from our accommodation at Bridgewater Terraces. By road, the Story Bridge and the Captain Cook Bridge connect us to the north, while the Southeast Freeway connects us to the south. Also, we’re just a 7-minute ferry ride away from Brisbane CBD.

Moreover, there are several bicycle paths and walkways, which connect Kangaroo Point to nearby attractions at South Bank.

5. What amenities are included with my accommodation?

Our Kangaroo Point accommodation features all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Ranging from a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities to Wi-Fi (paid) and entertainment systems, our accommodation has it all.

Moreover, you can also enjoy the facilities that come with our accommodation. These include a lagoon swimming pool, heated spa, sauna, gym, BBQ areas, secure car parking space and much more!

6. What star rating is my accommodation?

Bridgewater Terraces’ accommodation is self-rated as a 3.5-star out of 5-star. However, we’re also rated as 8.5/10 stars on Booking.com and as 4-stars on TripAdvisor.

As such, you can expect nothing short of an enjoyable stay by choosing to book Kangaroo Point accommodation at Bridgewater Terraces.
