Brisbane Fashion Month

October is also Brisbane Fashion Month, and this means that you’ll get to witness some amazing fashion-related events. From workshops to runway shows, boutique stalls and a multitude of free and paid events, there’s plenty of fashion lovers can look forward.

Brisbane Fashion Month is taking place at various locations around Wintergarden throughout this month.


Celebrate German culture right here in Brisbane with Australia’s largest German festival – Oktoberfest. Featuring everything from authentic German cuisine and drinks to live dance, music and entertainment, Oktoberfest offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Oktoberfest is happening from Friday, October 5 to Sunday, October 14 at Bowen Hills.

MS Moonlight Walk 2018

Join thousands of Brisbane locals to take part in a leisurely walk at the MS Moonlight Walk. You can choose to take either the 5km walk or the 10km walk starting from Kangaroo Point to Story Bridge and then to the Botanic Gardens and finally to South Bank. While you’ll get to witness the best of Brisbane, this walk also supports a good cause.

The MS Moonlight Walk 2018 is taking place on Saturday, October 6 at South Bank Parklands.

Griffith Sports Toohey Trail Run 2018

You can choose from a 5km, 10km and 21.1km half-marathon for people of all levels of fitness. The challenge will start from Griffith University Nathan Campus all the way to the scenic Toohey Forest.

Mosaic Festival

The Mosaic Festival is taking place on Sunday, October 7 at Roma Street Parklands.

Taiwan Festival
